Atelier dell’italiano: lingua, cultura e cucina
At percorsoItaliano, we value experiences where students feel comfortable learning and practicing Italian beyond the classroom.
Traveling to Italy and spending time with Italians is the best way to be immersed in the language. At percorsoItaliano, we believe webinars & in-person workshops are the next best thing! Participants have the chance to listen to and speak Italian with our teachers and special guests.
These webinars & in-person workshops are hosted by our Italian teachers Roberta, Elisabetta, and Donatella, as well as, a diverse group of native Italian speakers. We’ve invited professionals from all walks of life including architects, opera singers, business owners, academics in cinema and history, artists, cooks, entrepreneurs, and many more.
We offer language, culture, and cooking workshops and webinars throughout the year.

In Italy, food is never just about nourishment — it’s a story, a tradition, a symbol of love and resilience. And in Italian cinema, the dining table becomes a stage where life unfolds.
Join us on Friday, February 28 as we explore this rich connection between film (cinema) and food (cibo) with our dear friend Marialucia Luongo. She will guide us through an engaging journey, revealing how legendary directors like Ettore Scola, Sergio Leone, Luchino Visconti, and Nanni Moretti have used meals to capture the essence of Italian culture, history, and identity. Through unforgettable scenes, we’ll see how a simple dish can tell a story of survival, celebration, or longing.
Along the way, you’ll expand your Italian vocabulary, immersing yourself in the language of food, film, and tradition. And to bring the magic of Italian cinema into your own kitchen, Marialucia will prepare delicious and easy-to-make recipes — featuring meat (carne), fish (pesce), and vegetables (verdure) — perfect for all tastes.

“The workshops and the teachers pull you in via engaging and unique ways that excite adults to want to learn, and you find yourself emboldened and wanting to try to speak and communicate. And while doing so, you have gentle and gracious help and guidance from the teachers as they find a compassionate way to correct you or help you to properly pronounce things. It truly is fun and satisfying.”
